She has been published in the Gay & Lesbian Review, Sinister Wisdom, and several Redwood Writers’ anthologies, and her first collection of poetry, Body on the Wall, is due out May 15, 2014 from Saddle Road Press. Thanks to a great deal of education, including a master’s in Japanese studies, she has had a prestigious career path, highlights of which include working as a shipping and receiving clerk at a yoga equipment company, and being the janitor at a tattoo parlor. Hey, it’s all fodder for the next poem, right?
